OK, You will never hear me sing the praises of a SINGER Sewing machine after they started using plastic gears, and lightweight springs. and don't get me started on the bobbin winder or the Space Needle bobbins.
HOWEVER! You will hear me recommend their early sergers
All metal parts inside, elbows, slides, sleeves, joints, actuators... everything. And that must be due to them being build in a factory in Japan. Japan historically, has built very good sewing machines and certainly excellent sergers. Unfortunately that is slowly changing because cheap stuff and mindless consumerism drives quality to its end.. anyway...lol...
